An AI receptionist for medical practices and clinics
An AI receptionist answers the phone when your team can't. Ours is called the AI answering agent: it says it is an AI, takes the caller's message and sends it to your inbox, with urgent calls marked.
Most AI receptionists promise to do everything a person at the desk does. Ours does fewer things, on purpose: it answers, takes an accurate message and keeps callers safe. Booking, refills and results stay with your team, so nothing clinical is decided by the AI.
Answers every call it gets: Busy lines, lunch and after hours: calls forward to the AI instead of voicemail.
Takes a clear message: Name, callback number, new or existing patient, what they need and when, one question at a time.
Answers from your facts: Hours, address, insurance plans you accept and services, from what you give us. It never guesses.
Passes callers to a person: If you give us a staff number, it can transfer a caller during open hours. Otherwise it takes a message.
Sends emergencies to 911: Chest pain, trouble breathing and stroke signs are told to call 911, and crisis callers are given 988.
English and Spanish: It answers in the language the caller uses.
Frequently asked questions
Is an AI receptionist the same as an AI answering agent?
Yes, for our purposes. We call it an AI answering agent because that is what it does: it answers and takes the message. It is not a replacement for your receptionist.
Can it book appointments into our system?
Not yet. It takes the request and says your team will call back to confirm a time.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
There is no HIPAA certification. No real patient call happens until a Business Associate Agreement is signed with your practice and with the vendors that handle the call.
What does it cost?
The test is free for 7 days, for up to 50 calls. After that it is $199 per location a month, with 300 minutes included and $0.25 a minute above that.
